Kingwood Park rakes in postseason honors

After a run to the Region III-4A sectional playoffs, it should come as no surprise that Kingwood Park would rake in the postseason honors.

The Lady Panthers earned nine superlative honors and had 15 earn all-district honors in the postseason awards.

Vanessa Valadez was named the District 42-4A Most Valuable Player, was named first-team all-region and earned a selection to the Texas All-Stars team by the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches.

Valadez had a team-high 31 goals for Kingwood Park.

Goalkeeper Kaitlin Sterner was named the District 42-4A Co-Goalkeeper of the Year as well as earning honorable mention all-state honors.

Kobi McNutt was named the District 42-4A Co-Offensive Player of the Year while also being named honorable mention all-state. She head a team-best 16 assists to go with seven goals.

Holland Ensminger was named the District 42-4A Co-Defender of the Year and was also first-team all-region.

Blair Bardwell, Mackenzie Lee, Carly Naylor, Kasey Stokdyk, Claire Tolbert, Ensminger, McNutt, Sterner and Valadez were named first-team All-District 42-4A.

Katie Atkinson, Avery Harlan and Sami LeDuc were second-team all-district. Phoebe Cooper, Tori Long and Darby Roach were honorable mention.
